About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in El Cerrito. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience managing project financials. The position will start as a temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project accounting functions, including job cost tracking and budget analysis
• Prepare and review financial reports for multiple projects
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and forecasts
• Handle accounts payable/receivable related to project activities

Requirements:

• Experience with Timberline (Sage 300) or Vista (Viewpoint) is required
• Strong understanding of construction or project-based accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
